Overview

FT Strategies is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our innovative consultancy at this exciting phase of growth. Based at the Financial Times headquarters in London, the Commercial Development Manager will support the Commercial Growth team with involvement across new business development, bids/proposals, account management, sales operations and strategic initiatives to grow the organisation.

You will work closely with the Commercial Lead and Deputy Managing Director, as well as with Marketing, Insights, Data and Product.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support Commercial Lead and consulting management to prepare outreach for target clients and help to set-up business development (BD) meetings with client and industry research.
  • Participate in BD meetings and support Portfolio Heads in follow-up activities (developing tailored sales collateral, further conversations and support solution design and proposal writing.)
  • Lead generation activities: research target sectors, identifying opportunities, prospective clients and key individuals within the FTS network and beyond.
  • Work with the Marketing, Commercial, Insights and Consulting teams to maximise engagement with prospective and existing clients through online marketing activities (social campaigns, advertising, email, website) and other relevant growth initiatives.
  • Iterate client marketing collateral (introductory packs, case studies, website content) with insight and feedback from client conversations.

  • Tracking KPIs to help drive progress and accountability and sharing learnings across the team.

 Your skills and experience

 Essential:

  • Strong research skills with interest in businesses, specifically the media and entertainment sector.
  • Experience in a lead generation and/or account management role.
  • Business development experience; understand the process, tools and techniques.

The Role

FT Strategies is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our innovative consultancy at this exciting phase of growth. Based at the Financial Times headquarters in Manila, the Marketing Operations Manager will support the Marketing team with audience research, lead management processes, database management, and marketing automation. Key Responsibilities

  • Audience Development: Build data lists of target accounts and contacts for prospecting. 
  • Segmentation: Manage data segmentation and lead scoring to deliver more targeted and relevant messaging to improve engagement and ultimately conversion of prospects.
  • Lead Management: Support marketing and sales revenue goals by optimising our lead management process, including lead lifecycle, lead scoring, and sales alerts.
  • Campaign Management: Support the development of campaign flows to successfully move prospects through the customer journey to reach sales readiness. Ensure campaign setup and processes are in line with overall platform architecture and lead flow/scoring programs.
  • Database Management: Develop and maintain the marketing database, conducting regular data cleansing to ensure that the data is standardized and complete. Ensure that the database is compliant to GDPR, ePrivacy and other data regulations.
  • Infrastructure: Own, maintain and improve our marketing tech stack. Work with Digital Marketing to manage the health of our database and lead management processes.
  • Process & Workflow: Identify, design, and document scalable processes that enable the marketing team to be more effective.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor marketing performance, develop reports, and make recommendations to improve the marketing funnel and sales pipeline.

Key Skills

  • 3+ years experience working in Marketing Operations
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM and marketing automation platforms 
  • Ability to assess and optimise lead flows, lead routing rules, lead scoring, lead nurturing and other lead management practices
  • Demonstrated experience in audience research, list building and data segmentation
  • Strong understanding of database structure,  segmentation, data hygiene, and data compliance

Overview

FT Strategies is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our innovative consultancy at this exciting phase of growth. Based at the Financial Times headquarters in London, the Commercial Development Manager will support the Commercial Growth team with involvement across new business development, bids/proposals, account management, sales operations and strategic initiatives to grow the organisation.

You will work closely with the Commercial Lead and Deputy Managing Director, as well as with Marketing, Insights, Data and Product.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support Commercial Lead and consulting management to prepare outreach for target clients and help to set-up business development (BD) meetings with client and industry research.
  • Participate in BD meetings and support Portfolio Heads in follow-up activities (developing tailored sales collateral, further conversations and support solution design and proposal writing.)
  • Lead generation activities: research target sectors, identifying opportunities, prospective clients and key individuals within the FTS network and beyond.
  • Work with the Marketing, Commercial, Insights and Consulting teams to maximise engagement with prospective and existing clients through online marketing activities (social campaigns, advertising, email, website) and other relevant growth initiatives.
  • Iterate client marketing collateral (introductory packs, case studies, website content) with insight and feedback from client conversations.
  • Ideate how to improve the BD process, lead generation and account management tactics, experiment with new strategies and measure results.
  • Tracking KPIs to help drive progress and accountability and sharing learnings across the team.
  • Engage stakeholders across the Financial Times to identify potential business development opportunities.

 Your skills and experience

 Essential:

  • Strong research skills with interest in businesses, specifically the media and entertainment sector.
  • Experience in a lead generation and/or account management role.
  • Business development experience; understand the process, tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, highly self-motivated working style and passion for sales
    Experience of client conversations / relationships.
  • Excited by ambiguity and a fast-growing, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Intellectual curiosity, adaptability and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferable but not essential: 

  • Experience in a professional services organisation (e.g. management consulting, legal, accounting).
  • Experience using sales/CRM systems.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to join the senior leadership team. You will be joining a mission driven and dynamic work environment as we scale our consulting business. You will report to the Managing Director, driving our strategy and ambition on consulting engagements, helping clients develop and implement successful growth projects that accelerate business performance. You will lead a portfolio of clients - across specific industries or areas of expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business development: Initiating and developing trust based client relationships and commercial opportunities, underpinned by an ambition to grow our business and meet stretch commercial targets
  • Client engagement: Senior leadership and ownership of multiple client projects including guiding the team’s methodology and problem solving to ensure we deliver sustainable and tangible results for clients
  • Team Leadership: Managing and coaching senior team members and leading initiative that contribute to a healthy high performance culture

FT Strategies is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our innovative consultancy at this exciting phase of growth. Based at the Financial Times headquarters in Manila, the Marketing Operations Manager will support the Marketing team with audience research, lead management processes, database management, and marketing automation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in building a team in a start-up team environment.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Audience Development: Build data lists of target accounts and contacts for prospecting. 
  • Segmentation: Manage data segmentation and lead scoring to deliver more targeted and relevant messaging to improve engagement and ultimately conversion of prospects.
  • Lead Management: Support marketing and sales revenue goals by optimising our lead management process, including lead lifecycle, lead scoring, and sales alerts.
  • Campaign Management: Support the development of campaign flows to successfully move prospects through the customer journey to reach sales readiness. Ensure campaign setup and processes are in line with overall platform architecture and lead flow/scoring programs.
  • Database Management: Develop and maintain the marketing database, conducting regular data cleansing to ensure that the data is standardized and complete. Ensure that the database is compliant to GDPR, ePrivacy and other data regulations.
  • Infrastructure: Own, maintain and improve our marketing tech stack. Work with Digital Marketing to manage the health of our database and lead management processes.
  • Process & Workflow: Identify, design, and document scalable processes that enable the marketing team to be more effective.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor marketing performance, develop reports, and make recommendations to improve the marketing funnel and sales pipeline.

Key Skills

  • 3+ years experience working in Marketing Operations
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM and marketing automation platforms 
  • Ability to assess and optimise lead flows, lead routing rules, lead scoring, lead nurturing and other lead management practices
  • Demonstrated experience in audience research, list building and data segmentation
  • Strong understanding of database structure,  segmentation, data hygiene, and data compliance
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other data protecgtion regulations
  • Technically capable with a meticulous attention to detail and a desire to improve processes
  • Strong analytical skills with an abiliity to draw meaningful insights from marketing data
  • High focus on delivering results and understands the importance of measuring activity
