Chief Commercial Officer
Jon is Chief Commercial Officer at the Financial Times, where he oversees the FT’s consumer subscriptions business, global advertising sales and operations, newspaper operations and the FT Specialist division.
During his time at the FT, he oversaw the successful shift in subscription strategy from the metered model to trials, contributing to the FT reaching its long-time goal of one million paying readers. Prior to his current role Jon served as the FT’s B2C managing director, as well as commercial director for global digital advertising and insight.
Managing Director
Tara is Managing Director of FT Strategies. Before joining the FT, Tara worked at McKinsey's London office and previously at Goldman Sachs in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US. She has over 15 years’ experience, serving clients across multiple sectors on strategy, digital and transformation.
She is a Fulbright Scholar and MBA graduate of Harvard Business School, and serves on the Board of the The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. She is passionate about mentoring underprivileged youth and is a proud mum to three boys.
Deputy Managing Director
Aled has over eleven years’ experience in the media, overseeing strategy, product, new venture creation and editorial. Previously he was Head of Membership Strategy and Business Development at Condé Nast, where he launched their B2B subscription title Vogue Business.
Aled cut his teeth in TV news at ITN and later received his MBA from Cambridge University. Outside of the day job, his kids keep him busy and he is also a trustee and director of DeliverAid, a charity helping those suffering from food poverty started during the pandemic.
Head of Financial Services
George joins us from Monitor Deloitte with over a decade of experience in strategy consulting and in-house advisory. Leading strategy development, service design and digital transformation teams, he has advised senior leadership from across both the public and private sectors.
He has an ACII and a Masters from the London School of Economics.
Head of Data and Insights
George has spent the last four years guiding the FT’s data strategy as it balances revenue and risk. Most recently, he founded and continues to lead a cross-departmental FT team focused on the future of marketing & advertising in the context of restrictions on online tracking.
George also holds an MBA from IE Business School and is a very proud member of Surrey County Cricket Club.
Commercial Lead
Tony manages our business development, sales operations and internal processes. His previous roles were as a Commercial Development Manager at CIL Management Consultants, which provided due diligence and strategic consulting to private equity funds, and as a Senior Research Analyst at Preqin, a global B2B information provider to the alternative assets industry.
He holds a Bsc in Economics from the University of Bath and is a keen squash player.
Senior Manager
Lettie has 10 years experience in management consulting and in-house strategy, previously at L.E.K. Consulting and Bulb Energy.
Senior Manager
Luís has over 6 years of experience in management consulting at FT Strategies and, previously, McKinsey. With a strong focus on digital growth and transformation, Luís can draw on experience of helping over 20 publishers around Europe, including supporting two Spanish newspapers, to optimise their subscription lifecycle and undergo cultural transformation to become more customer centric.
Manager
Spartak is a Manager at FT Strategies with over five years of experience in strategy consulting and financial services. He previously worked at McKinsey & Company focusing on engagements around digital strategy and customer experience in the banking sector. Prior to that, he was an equity research summer analyst at Goldman Sachs and a relationship manager at UniCredit. He holds an MSc in Economic Policy from University College London.
Senior Consultant
Prior to joining FT Strategies, Edouard worked at KPMG as a Senior Consultant in strategy in financial services. He has worked on growth strategy projects, and specialised in finding innovative business models for both startups and legacy market players. Edouard also holds an Msc from Sciences Po Paris and ESSEC Business School.
Senior Consultant
Lois has 5 years of experience in growth strategy across technology and financial services. She has provided support to a wide range of startups and held advisory positions with investment funds. At Nationwide Building Society Lois helped to set up the venture fund and define the organisation's approach to investing. She also co-founded a podcast, Associated, to make venture capital more accessible.
Consultant
Zak is a Management Consultant from KPMG, experienced in technology sourcing strategy, data analysis, journey mapping and customer experience (cx) strategy design. He studied BSc International Management at the University of Bath, which included a placement year in Paris. Interests outside of work include fitness and volunteering. He recently participated in the Mosaic Mentoring scheme for the Prince's Trust, helping underprivileged youth to bridge the aspirations-attainment gap by boosting their confidence, self-efficacy and long-term employability.
