Director
Adriana Whiteley is a director at FT Strategies. She has over 25 years experience in TMT strategy consulting, research and M&A, having led projects in print and digital publishing, IPTV/OTT video, software services, broadband and broadcast infrastructure.
Adriana started her career at McKinsey, Telefónica, and an M&A boutique in Brazil/Spain. She later worked for Ovum Consulting UK (now Omdia) as director for transaction support projects and for Farncombe (now Cartesian) as head of Strategy Practice. Adriana graduated as a journalist and is part of the Institution of Engineers (IET) Media Network Committee.
Head of Analytics
Emanuele is the Head of Analytics at FT Strategies and has worked with clients in developing engagement metrics, building data architectures and conducting business analyses and insights. He previously spent seven years at Realised UNLIMITED, a boutique analytics consultancy.
Senior Manager
Aliya joins us from Dataminr, where she was in charge of expanding the use of A.I. technology in newsrooms across the EMEA region. Before that, she was a journalist at Bloomberg in London and an analyst at Deutsche Bank in New York. Outside of work, Aliya is one of Britain's top fencers and has represented Team GB at six World Championships. She has a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford.

Azymberdi (Azym) is a Consultant at FT Strategies, specialising in media strategy, process optimisation, and AI-driven operational excellence. With three years of experience advising media organisations, he helps businesses navigate digital transformation, streamline workflows, and leverage AI to drive sustainable growth.

Supporting Público to build a data-led strategy and increase retention and loyalty from their subscribers
FT Strategies helped Público, a leading newspaper in Portugal, focus more on data to reach and keep digital subscribers.
The team designed a new governance model identifying three pillars – acquisition, lifetime value and culture – to focus their activities. They identified 50 experiments responding to metrics, including a new churn model, a redesign of the homepage and different versions of subscriber campaigns to better understand why users engage and return. This resulted in a fundamental culture shift as departments came together to experiment and learn.
