About Emma
Currently working as a Consultant at FT Strategies, Emma supports clients through thoughtful research, structured analysis, and strategic recommendations. Her interdisciplinary academic training at UCL, complemented by a year-long Erasmus+ exchange in Florence, has given her a broad perspective on issues such as urban development, economics, and the humanities.
Born in Singapore and raised in Tokyo, Emma is Japanese and English and fully bilingual in English and Japanese, enabling her to navigate cross-cultural contexts with ease. Alongside consulting, she has experience in writing and editing on topics related to women’s rights and the female experience, and in developing sustainable solutions for mid-size fashion brands. Her work is underpinned by strong collaboration skills, curiosity, and a commitment to inclusive, globally minded problem-solving.
